Do you feel intimidated by joining a gym? Does the mere thought of walking into one make you feel uncomfortable?
I came across Titan Fitness by chance. I’d known of and heard about it for two years through Social Media, while living on the Gold Coast.
I recently moved to Coogee and had been looking at Titan Fitness online, but hadn’t committed myself to going and checking it out right away. I wanted to relax and get comfortable in the area before I started training there… Okay, to be completely honest, I was a little intimidated by it.
Here I am, 26 years old, heavily involved in sports my whole life, recently having completed my Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness, and overwhelmed by fear to go into a gym and to feel confident in myself!
That irrational and almost paralyzing fear all changed the first time I walked into Titan.
Coincidentally, I met Mets, the owner of the gym (of which I had no idea at the time), and we got onto the topic of health & fitness. We were discussing the gap in the industry around understanding people’s vulnerabilities when training, and all of the confidence and body image “issues” that can be connected with it.
We spoke for an hour about how passionate we both are to truly connect with people and to have some impact and influence on revolutionizing a change within the industry; to help people not only strive for greatness, but to achieve it.
Following that one meeting, Mets asked me to be part of the team.
Through my experience, this is what I have found Titan Fitness to be.
It’s a gym. A place where people go to work on themselves. As an individual, your results are always going to be reflected by the changes, work and hours you put in. So what’s different about training at Titan Fitness to any other gym?
The difference with Titan Fitness is the heart behind it. The intention. The fundamental core of the business is the passion that it’s been created from.
The desire, the dream, and the dedication to create a space, which allows people to take charge in their lives. To move beyond their current self-limiting beliefs and behaviors, and to help replace them with new ones.
How do you do that? You make yourself uncomfortable in order to become comfortable, over and over again. Vulnerability plays a huge part in that process, which is something that we understand.
We provide the space, tools, and the Personal Trainers with an abundance of knowledge and experience. We create a positive, well maintained & supportive environment to not only encourage you to come to the gym, but to want to be there.
A place is just a place without the people, and each and every day at Titan Fitness, we’re aiming to be better, on an individual level, for our team and its members, and within the community.
